"Turkey Hunting" by Brady Sherck

Last night, we all headed out on a drive after dinner to scout out some of the property that Bill is Turkey hunting the next few days. Brady is so funny, we wanted to share our conversation with him....

sunglasses upside down, a hoot!

(We pull into a field-approach.  Bill gets out of the vehicle to walk up to see where he will set up turkey camp...)
Brady: Mom, where Daddy go?
Mom: See, he's right there in the field, he's looking for turkeys. Tomorrow he's going turkey hunting
Brady: Turkey hunting?
Mom: Yes, once a year, Daddy brings out his gun and he tries to shoot a turkey.
Brady: Wow! Whoa. Mom, can I shoot a gun?
Mom: No, guns are for big people. Maybe you can when you get older.
Brady: Mom, pleeez can I shoot a gun at those turkeys? I go get my binaccaplayers (binoculars)
Mom: When your Dad gets back here, you can ask him.
(Bill gets back to the Jeep)
Brady: Dad, I maybe shoot a gun at the turkeys?
Dad: Maybe when you get older. Guns aren't for kids, they are dangerous.  When you're older, you can come turkey hunting with me!
(Bill puts the Jeep in reverse, we're waiting for cars to drive past before we back up)
Brady: Wait (our) turn, cars coming.
Mom: Yes, Brady we have to be careful before we back-up. We need to watch the cars.
Brady: Wait turn, cars coming CRASH. Crash cars!
Mom: Brady, no, we do NOT want the cars to crash into us.
(Bill laughing)
Brady: Dad, I shoot the cars with a gun?
Dad: No Brady you cannot shoot the cars.

We didn't have a good response. Our little dude has the mind of a crazy man!  Maybe it wasn't such a good idea for Santa to bring brady a dart gun last Christmas...
