Convo with Brady 2.4

Brady 28 months
Hey, Mom here. I've been meaning to write a post about Brady lately as this is his baby book and I want to make sure I capture my thoughts (at the moment.)  At this time in Brady's life, 28 months old - Bill and I are AMAZED by this little man. Even though he has his 2 yr old tantrums & everything that goes along with a 2 yr old, he is such a good little boy.  He is kind, funny and very inquisitive which we adore.  We are proud, we feel that he's talking at about a 4 yr old status and proves this to us daily when he talks non-stop.  To be honest, I love it. We love it so much and it makes us happy every day to have this little boy in our life.

Now that he's older, we do talk to him a lot and tell him about many things.  He often (100x a day) asks "what's this called?" Needless to say, we have some funny conversations.  As we're getting in the Acadia the other day after daycare:

Mom: Brades, how was your day?
Brady: Good.  We did puzzles and planted flowers.  (You willl need to know that the day prior, he pointed at one of Shelli's empty flower pots and asked me what it was.  I told him that it was a flower pot, and Shelli would be planting her flowers in them once the weather gets a little nicer"
Mom: You planted flowers? Really?
Brady: Yep.  Hey, Mom.  We go get an ice cream cone? (eye crean cone)
Mom: Ha. No Brades, it's dinner time soon when Dad comes home. We need to eat dinner.
Brady: Awh. Mom, can we  pleeease go straight, take a left and go eat donuts? Sound good, alright?  (those were his exact words)
Mom: Donuts? You want donuts?  Like I said, it's dinner time and we need to eat dinner with Daddy.
Brady: Moooom, I love donuts so much. They nummy.  Please?
Mom: We're going to eat dinner soon, maybe after dinner if you eat well you can have a popsicle.
Brady: Oh. Yeah. Possicle (popsicle).  Alright. Whoa. Look at that basketball hoop, Mom!

He is in a phase and loves to do puzzles.  He can whip up a 24 piece puzzle in no time...which is funny because the box says "ages 3+ yrs"  It's a nightly ritual that he and Bill read his favorite book "Z is for Zamboni" sent to him from Karis & Steve.  He knows Bobby Hall, Bobby Orr and knows the referee sign for interference and will say "Interference, go to the box!"   He has been VERY good with his little brother and will try to do anything to calm him, including trying to pick him up:(  I'd like to say he's outgoing, but is still shy/quiet around people he does not know and large groups of people.

Tomorrow Bennett will be 7 weeks old already!  He is a growing WEED!  This week, we headed to the doctor for a quick check-up with Dr. Fatima because of Bennett's horrible gas (crying/straining/grunting) and reflux.  He weighed in at 10lbs 9oz on Monday and I'm sure has gained more since then!  He is already ahead of where Brady was at this 2 month check-up appointment....We're trying some Zantac for the reflux and I'm on a no-dairy diet to try and help with the gas. We have not seen improvements in his farting ability so do not believe that it's dairy in my diet/breast milk.  We will continue to research as we want our little man to feel content and happy!  I posted the picture above, now that the weather has been a little nicer, we've been able to get out for a couple walks.  He looked too funny - fat guy in a little coat.  He was happy though and I'll take it! :)
