Hey,
It's me, Bennett. It happened - I am now ONE YEAR OLD. The big ONE. I go big & I go hard. Wow it has been a ride this past year and such a great time. I feel so lucky!
- Weight: 20.1 lbs. 25% (I look like I'm a giant but I'm really not. I'm thick & stocky compared to my brother)
- Height: 5% (I'm a shorty)
- Head: 90%
| Mad, Mad Mad. Do not like scales. |
Talking: I can say "Mama", "Dada" & my Parents think that I've said "Hi" a few times now.
Walking situation: I'm walking around everything holding on to things, but not walking on my own. I can stand on my own for about 10 seconds and then go down to my knees to crawl as fast as lighting. I can climb stairs but I prefer not to because I get a little scared. I will climb 3 stairs, and then go back down because I'm scared of falling.
Eating: I'm a very picky eater. Some of my all time favorite foods are yogurt, mac & cheese, french fries, marshmallows, chicken nuggets, yogurt, yogurt &..um, yogurt. I'm not a very big meat & veggie eater so I have no clue why my Mom puts it on my plate for every meal. Duh, I'm not going to eat it.
Drinking: I have one bottle at night now but for the most part am drinking other drinks during the day out of a glass. I hate drinking out of a sippy cup, would much rather drink like a big guy. It's really annoying my parents that I don't like a sippy cup. I like my pacifier for naps & at nighttime in my crib.
Sleeping: I'm doing better. It only took about a year for me to sleep through the night & a lot of crying involved, but now I've been sleeping from about 8pm - 630am, short am nap & 2.5 hour afternoon nappers. I like my bed. I don't sleep anywhere but my bed. I have never except when I was very tiny (that my Parents remember), fallen asleep in the stroller, in my parents arms - I need a bed to fall asleep. If I'm tired and need to go to bed - you'll know because I'll just scream.
Toys: I dont' really like toys. I like playing with silverware, pots & pans, remotes, radios, cd players, dvd players, speakers, food in the frig...pretty much anything that I shouldn't be playing with.
I'm healthy and Dr. Fatima feels that I'm exactly where I should be. I'm a little lazy compared to Brady "Mr Prodigy", but I'm catching up, you just wait. I'll be able to body slam him in no time.
Later, BJS
