Empty Infant Carrier = No BS at 39 weeks

Friday night Cami came to visit & stay for the night after reffing her basketball game at MSU. We made low-carb flatbread pizzas with garlic, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, turkey pepperoni & sausage. Delish. Bill, Cami and I had a great night of relaxation – and those two got to taste some great wine while I sipped on my water. Soon enough I’ll be able to kick back my Black Box of Shiraz that’s in the pantry. YES! I love having my sister around – and am so happy she made the trip! She rubbed BS for awhile trying to give labor vibes but it obviously didn’t work. Ha!
A note from Bill: Don’t eat pheasant sticks. It was NOT fun for him to be up all Friday night sick with food poisoning…On Saturday he had a planned event in Madison Lake, MN that he did not want to miss. Even though he had been up all night sick as a dog, I drove him to his “meet the Man about the Woods” event while he put on a smiley face that he was feeling just fine. Bless his heart. Good news, I got a chance to spend some time with Grandma & Roy in Mankato while he was busy. He is finally feeling better today and keeping down fluids/food. Maybe I should become a nurse if I get laid off from my job? Congrats to Cousin Mark & Marissa on the birth of their son Santiago on Thursday evening. As the little man is in ICU and will probably be a few more days, our prayers go out to the family to strengthen him so he can get better soon. We’re thinking about you guys!
It’s Sunday – Baby Sherck has decided to curl up in a ball (literally) in da belly for awhile longer, I guess. I have another doctor’s appointment tomorrow morning; hopefully she’ll give me some new/great news on BS’s progress and maybe even an estimated delivery date. I don’t want to get my hopes up though…as the doctor’s guess is normally just as good as mine. Lastly and most importantly – check out our new Christmas tree! I’d say a fun activity (I call it exercise) for a 39 week pregnant chick on a Sunday afternoon. I think our neighbors think we're crazy for putting it up so early...but, don't think I'll be up for it in a couple weeks!
