This past weekend Bill was out of town for work. Bennett & Brady played nicely in the basement together without me for 24 minutes (yes, I timed it) before there was a cry. When the 24 minutes was up, the cry wasn't because they were fighting but because Bennett was stuck up under a table in the corner. I can't believe I'm admitting it - but as they were playing - I know, a whole 24 minutes I waited and waited for someone to yell my name or call for me. They didn't. I think this is only a sign for the near future that they are boys and will want to do their own things. I sniffed and had one tear - and then got over it. :)
I had to take some pictures because by stepping one foot in our home, it's clear that Hockey season is here. We have skates, gloves, jerseys, hockey sticks, nets & pucks everywhere. While they were playing "hockey" in the basement during this 24 minutes the first thing Brady says when I walk downstairs "Mom, Bennett is my goalie but he's not doing very good"
These two boys rule our world and crack us up! We feel so lucky to have them "NEED" us and we're loving every bit of watching them in their adventures.
Until next tearful memory,
Mom
